About Us
Welcome to Evelyn & Co. We are a small family-owned business based in Victoria, Australia. We are the parents of 2 young children, 1 dog and 2 cats. Evelyn & Co was born after toilet training our oldest child and quickly realising how time-consuming changing sheets in the middle of the night was! At the same time our cat was unfortunately suffering from incontinence which led to messy situations on our lounge room couch. Whilst I was able to wash the couch covers, I was unable to protect the inner cushion from damage. I was unable to find a waterproof protector to protect the cushion, without changing the external aesthetic of my couch, which is when Evelyn & Co was born.
I have always had a strong focus on sustainability and utilising recycled materials. All of our products at Evelyn & Co are made from recycled materials, including discarded water bottles. We offer a range of products that are not only functional but also environmentally friendly.
Our factory is Control Union Certified, meeting Global Recycled Standards (GRS). GRS confirms a responsible use of resources and processes that have the least possible impact on human health and the planet. GRS guarantees that manufacturers use sustainable production processes, environmentally friendly, and socially responsible working conditions. We are very happy to partner with a factory that is certified with one of the best certification standards for textiles.
Our Values
Comfort – We place a high level of focus on comfort, knowing first-hand how our little ones can be picky if things don’t feel like they should. We use organic cotton for the top layer on all our products that will be touching the skin.
Sustainability – We pride ourselves on ensuring our products are made from recycled materials so you can feel good about your purchase knowing you are helping to reduce waste and protect our planet. We have a strong commitment to sustainability and minimising our environmental impact. We took a long time to research and source an appropriate factory and manufacturing process to ensure that it aligns with our values. We also limit plastic packaging throughout our supply chain process. Our products are Oeko-Tex certified.
Protection – the core function of our products is to protect, whether that is a bed, couch or car seat. This is the primary job of our products and we researched and tested all our products to ensure a strong waterproof base using the industry leading materials and fabrics.
